Julmand joined Sporting last season as a replacement for Ugarte and has been a key part of Ruben Amorim’s side, making 30 appearances as they won the league title.
Amorim sees Yulmand as an indispensable member of the squad and is reluctant to let him go unless an offer is made that matches his £67.5m release clause.
Julmund has four years left on his contract with Sporting and the club see him as untouchable.
The Red Devils remain keen to bolster their midfield options with Casemiro struggling to maintain consistency alongside Kobbie Mainoo.
